Excellent service and friendly staff. Food is at a competitive price point and tastes good too. My family has been coming here for a long time and plans to continue

Very disappointed with my favorite restaurant. Served a drink with a gnat & the waiter said it was something off the tequila bottle. I fished it out and showed him it was a gnat. The waiter never smiled and acted as if we were bothering him. I'll try another El Maguey in the future.

Trying to place takeout as advertised yet ALL of your locations phones are off. Nice job.

We had to wait about 25 min, but they were so worth it! We had the steak fajita for 2, n....OMG! That was ridiculously delicious! So sooo soooooo worth the wait! Next time I'm in St. Louis i will definitely come back here.

The fajitas mix is and has been my favorite for over 8 years or more. The frozen Rita's are so bomb! Always fast and sizzling fresh! My favorite place to get authentic Mexican cuisine!

the service was horrible !! they took 45 minutes to make a chicken quesadilla and an order of nachos for a to go order , the staff is extremely rude and unsanitary the servers wear the gloves from table to table touching food and helping customers

This is 1 of my Mother's fav places to visit. She loves their Mexican Shrimp & Rice Soup. Their portions are nice size & prices are reasonable. They are always busy & are probably 1 of the most popular Mexican Restaurants in the area, they are doing something right, because there is always a steady flow of customers & they have numerous locations... If ur searching for good, authentic Mexican cuisine for reasonable prices El Maguey is the place!! 👍. A bonus is they have a great Happy Hour! 👍

I like the authentic taste of their dishes. Easy to find and worth the very short jog beyond the fast food joint up the road.

We had some great Strawberry Mango frozen margaritas...3 pitchers to be exact and a shot of tequila that's exclusive to STL. Thanks to the manager Leo, ensuring we arrive home safely!

Good but long wait. Waiter forgot about our table due to how busy.. Pulled tables out of a backroom.. Place had to be at capacity.

Went there on Cinco de Mayo for their excellent fajita taco salad. Even with these Covid restrictions, staff was friendly, cheerful and fast. Playing music outside was a great touch too.

Local favorite. Revised: Prices went up this year (2016) which is disappointing, but understandable.The rise in prices helps make the wait for a table a lot faster and the restaurant is less loud. There is a language barrier. You must give the extra effort if you want the servers to really understand you. Some of them know more English than others. If you know Spanish, you are in luck. The margarita glasses were changed to plastic this year. I preferred the glass ones.

Sometimes I have to place my order to go just to be able to enjoy their AWESOME FOOD due to them being soo busy. And that alone should speak volumes!! Decent prices and drinks are delicious as well! Don't even look further.....

The best Mexican in Missouri- delicious margaritas and strong too. Everything comes out tasting super fresh. Order the queso fundido, you’ll thank me later.

I used to like this place but after tonight we will not be back. The quesadilla I ordered was soggy. The place was packed, which is great for them. Just not the crowd I want to hang out with yelling the F word every other word.

Great service. Make sure you are super hungry if you order the California Burrito. It ain't small 👀

Went here with another couple. Saturday evening, memorial day weekend. Sat outside, no waiting for tables. Inside seating was limited with a 30 mins wait. They take your phone number and call you when one is available. You wait in your car. But no wait to sit outside. Menus are online through your phone, they give your a scancode or website info. Plastic silverware. But everything else is just as it was. The carry out service was nonstop while we were there. Just another great night out for dinner with friends.

Great food to satisfy your Mexican cravings!

They serve authentic Mexican food. This is the feedback I receive when I bring my Mexican colleagues in. You can't go wrong for the food is delicious and the price is great.

My Favorite El Maguey since the one on Delmar began enforcing 15% gratuity on all parties. This El Maguey has a more extensive menu as well. Best Margaritas Ever! If you are up to it, get the Tower! 88 ounces of Margarita! It's awesome. The flavored margaritas frozen can be blended with two flavors which is a treat. Excellent salsa, guacamole, and Mexican favorites. It's always packed so be ready to wait in line for a bit. It's well worth it.

Great food. My first time discovering them was during the Covid-19 stay at home order. Then they took orders and walked them outside which was AWESOME service. So today, my friend and I decided to go back to see if there was dine in & there was. They required you to wear a mask to come into the building/dining area. Every other table was used. It was EXTREMELY pleasant and AMAZING service. The food was AGAIN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Will DEFINITELY be back and will recommend.

Gotta love El Mags! We go almost every Monday and have made great friends with the staff. The food is good with a large variety, but if there does happen to be something wrong, they are more than willing to quickly take care of it for you. They have a bomb happy hour for those of you who like to drink cheap, but even their regular prices are not bad! They LOVE birthdays! The staff brings out a fun fiesta hat, along with a few other special deliveries, and will sing you happy birthday!The location is small and parking is a bit tight. If you get there early or call in ahead of time to give them a heads up (or make a reservation) you shouldn't have any problems. During the summer they have a small outside patio available.

You can never go wrong coming to El Magueys. The drinks(wild berry & strawberry margarita) are strong and delicious. The food was seasoned to perfection and was plentiful. Everything was soooo good and right on point. Our waiter Raul was very attentive and nice.

Always order Pollo Feliz--chicken with shrimp in white cheese sauce or Caldo Tlalpeno--traditional Mexican soup with beef chicken shrimp and veggies. Service friendly.

Good food and decently quick to go service, however the employees all speak Spanish and assume you don't know condescending words, like wedo "whitey".

The waitress ,I forget her name but I've had her before. She's the worst. She sits down the entire time in between tables. Check on you a couple of times then disappear again for 20 min or so. Lordt🙄. The food is awesome. Thumbs up for the cook. I rather tip him than her.

We stoped by looking for a good meal after driving for hours. As soon as we walked in the door all the staff was super friendly and sharp. We were seated fast even though it was busy. Our server was Lionel and really made our experience at El Maguey great. He took excellent care of us. Everything was super clean and the food was hot and fresh.

Fantastic food, drink and service! I sat near the kitchen and bar, not usually my preferred spot, but seeing all the amazing dishes and drinks come and go was GREAT! Their staff is amazing!
